Havenwood Academy is a residential treatment center for teenage girls who’ve experienced trauma. Nearly all of our students are adopted, most have high ACEs scores, and all are relationally motivated. We serve youth ages 12–18 who need deep, experiential healing—and we do it in a setting built for just that.
Our campus in southern Utah includes four therapeutic homes, a school, and a range of outdoor spaces like a pond, track, equine arena, garden, and courts for basketball, volleyball, and pickleball. We operate with a 4:1 employee-to-student ratio and follow a relational model rooted in Dr. Bruce Perry’s Neurosequential approach. Each girl receives weekly individual, family, group, equine, and recreational therapy, along with school and tutoring hours in a teacher-led, small classroom setting.
This year, we’ve expanded our recreation and equine therapy programs, added a stabilization unit for higher-need students, and launched new academic electives like Spanish, coding, and creative writing. We’re proud of our outcomes: a 78% graduation rate, extremely high staff retention, and consistent family satisfaction scores.

Havenwood provides tailored therapy sessions designed to address each young woman’s unique emotional and psychological needs. Sessions are weekly with extra intervention provided as needed.
